What-If on Climate change,

Page 23 WHY Climate Change Happens
According to Sir John Houghton, the co-chairman of the IPCC in 1997, around 1000 years ago the Earth's temperature was about two degrees centigrade hotter than today. Worse, he wrote in his book "Global Warming. A Complete Briefing" and published by the Cambridge University Press in 1997,that no one knew the reason why but it was NOT due to carbon dioxide as the level of this was the same all through the years through to the mini-freeze some five hundred years later and beyond. See page 51 "The last thousand years". to confirm. This comment by someone who was at the top and center of the IPCC seems to have been ignored by the latest crop of those in the IPCC and those on the global warming gravy train.
One of the strongest influences on the Earth's climate is the giant magnetic field that surrounds us, to protect us from the Sun's killer rays. The Earth is a living magnet, having a north pole and a south pole as do smaller magnets. However, the magnetic north is different from the geological north by what is known as the magnetic declination. The south magnetic pole is different from the south geological pole by the same magnetic declination.
The interesting aspect, in relationship with the Earth's climate, is that the magnetic poles move, in relationship to the geological poles, in a circle, about every one thousand years. Thus when the Earth was gripped in the 1600's mini-freeze, the magnetic pole was due north of London, England. However, by the 2100's, the position of the north magnetic pole will have moved to the other side of this circle. (20 and 21)
Now the climate of the Earth changes from warm in the Roman Warming period, about the time of Christ, to the Dark Ages around 600 AD and then warm again, about 1000 AD (22) to cool, about 1600 AD to warm again, about 2100 AD, and this is the same, by a very strange coincidence (and science does not like a coincidence) as the circle of the magnetic poles.
Further looking back into history will show that the one thousand year circle of warm to cold to warm again can be traced further back much further also.
Any historian of Vikings will know that the Earth's temperature, by about 1000 AD, was warm enough to get the Vikings to set up farms in Greenland, so called by Eric the Red to attract other Vikings to set up farms there. These historians will also know that, by 1480, all the farmers had gone back home (their children that is) because the climate had become too cold to farm there.
So as the Earth's climate is affected by the magnetic field around itself and the Earth's magnetic field's poles move in a one thousand year circle and the Earth's climate changes from warm to cool to warm again and so on every thousand years and the cycle is due to arrive at the warm time in the 2100's, at 2139 to be exact, then it does not take a rocket scientist (only a good and true one) to work out that such a coincidence actually accounts for the present climate change controversy.
From the end of the mini-ice age, about 1700 , up to 1850, the Earth's temperature rose by an average of 1.8 degrees C whereas from 1850 to 2000, the average temperature rose only 0.8 degrees C. However, the CO 2 levels were supposed to be at the rising during the second 150 year period. The scientific evidence does not bear out the warming effect as correct.
Sir Fred Hoyle FRS, in his book ICE, wrote, on page 130. that "The efficiency of the carbon dioxide trap is insensitive to the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere: increase the amount five-fold would scarcely change the trap, in spite of the stories that are currently being circulated by environmentalists."
Whilst the movement of the magnetic poles affects the whole Earth, the carbon dioxide gas, as seen in satellite photographs, fogs the northern hemisphere but is very sparing in the southern hemisphere. If the climate change were only due to the carbon dioxide, then the northern hemisphere should be much more under its spell than the south, which of course it is not.
So when the climate scientists talk about an increase in the global temperature of 2 0 C, perhaps they are telling us that they already know of the 1000 year cycle and that the temperature will rise by that amount in any case. Given that there is so much change already on the Earth due to the current warming, why are they so ready to allow a further increase by 2 degrees C? It seems strange that they will accept this further increase unless they already know that it will be so, with or without their actions. It will be wonderful for them that they can enforce all sorts of restrictions and tax increases, such as a fart tax on cows, and then claim this rise of around 2 degrees is the result of their work and foresight alone. In New Zealand we have had an increase of 9 cents per litre on petrol, the tax , it is claimed, is to reduce the amount of petrol purchased and therefore reduce the carbon dioxide output. Of course this has had no effect on the quantity of petrol used and has only increased the tax take of the government, no doubt to enable the reduction of taxes on the rich. Watch this space!
